Paint the Map Blue

In 2006, progressives made enormous gains in Congress. But the relatively slim majority in the House means that legislation still needs to gain the support of moderate to conservative Democrats to pass. And in the Senate, right-wingers can filibuster any piece of legislation with only 41 votes.

A true progressive majority will allow Congress to implement a common sense agenda for stem cell research, election reform, LGBT rights, and comprehensive immigration reform.

People For the American Way Voters Alliance is targeting key races where progressives can make important gains, and where progressive incumbents will need to fight off well-funded right wing challengers.

Together, we can paint the map blue and put a real progressive majority on Capitol Hill.
